About me blah blah…….

They call me Frank. In some ways I am a wannabe super hero. I have a day job that pays the bills, but during the evenings everything changes. At night I put latex underwear on outside of my pants and sit down and write. Kind of anti-climatic but hey, it’s what I do.

I live in the middle of the United States, i would drive a tractor to work but it isn’t cost-effective.

I write because it is as much of a passion of mine as it is a compulsion I find hard to control.

I hope to one day break into the business and support myself and family as a full-time writer. No, I’m not expecting to make millions of dollars, but if I could live my life doing what makes me warm and tingly inside I would die a happy man.

I went to college and graduated, it was overrated and overpriced.

I don’t like cats.

Personally I find it offensive when I’m at a restaurant and the sweet tea is so bland they have to add fruit to it. It is of my profound opinion that sweet tea isn’t sweet enough unless you fall into a diabetic seizure half way through the glass.

  1. Just found you, Frank, because you commented on the latest taurean blog, re quotes. Love your writing – good humour is such a rare thing. As you live in the states, you’ve probably never read a ’60s novel by Australian humourist Lennie Lower, gone now, alas. If ever you’re thinking of writing a novel, it’s worth taking a look at it. It’s not long, it’s funny (well, I thought it was funny), and it has such a simple story line, but it works.
I have 2 cats, but please don’t hold it against me. Signing up to your blog,
    Best,
    Danielle de Valera

Hi Frank, just discovered your blog today. You have a great sense of humour!

I will be signing up but I’ll have you know I’m a cat-lover and have 2 just like Danielle above, so dont be too hard on me please. 😉

There is a lesson here, it probably involves karma in some way. I’m marrying a cat lover if that tells you anything. I just mumble a lot and make obscure references and/or obscenities. Welcome to the blog, hope you have fun.

Hi, Frank. Nice to meet you! I found your blog through a link on my friend’s site. (Alaric Rays) Your sense of humor seems to be fiendishly similar to mine, so I’ll be following your blog and making the occasional profound (not) comment. 🙂

  5. Hi there, Frank. I stumbled onto your blog and couldn’t help but notice that we have several things in common: your impeccable taste in books, your regional proximity, your love of sweet tea, and the fact that you’re trying to get your writing published.

And while I’m not what you’d call a cat lover, I do tolerate them (or is it they who tolerate me?). I don’t own any though. Ex-wife was a damn one-woman animal rescue. I’ve had my fill of pets, thank you very much.

I feel the fibers of chaos and random order brought the stars together and guided you to me. Come in and have a seat, punch and cake will be served shortly.

      Welcome to face palm country.
